Beacon is a Canadian healthcare AI company developing structured Advance Care Planning for patients with serious illness or advanced age. Most patients over 70 have never engaged in a substantive conversation about what they value, what trade-offs they would accept, or how they want to be cared for if they cannot speak for themselves. When a crisis arrives, families and clinicians are forced to make consequential decisions with very little to guide them.
Our platform conducts guided conversations with patients and synthesizes their responses into Value Portraits: structured, fully cited documents in which every clinical inference traces back to a specific patient statement. These portraits support substitute decision-makers and clinical teams during the highest‑stakes moments of care, while preserving the patient's authentic voice.
