Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Key Responsibilities Design high-pressure valves, hydraulic power packs and mechanised mining equipment. Develop new products and drive continuous improvement of existing equipment. Manage the complete product lifecycle from concept, detailed design and manufacturing through to testing and field trials. Provide technical support to the production team on engineering-related matters. Attend design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Develop and test prototypes. Review and approve engineering drawings and Bills of Materials. Generate and maintain technical documentation. Support production, procurement and sales with technical queries, part numbering and cost-related information. Liaise with suppliers regarding drawings, manufacturing processes, material selection and quality requirements. Conduct site visits, including underground mining operations, when required.
