About the opportunity:
A consultancy client of ours is looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a payment platform migration project within the financial services sector.
What you'll be doing:
- Building pipelines that take data in, validate and enrich it, then produce a final output
- Converting old fee structures to a new system using configurable mapping rules
- Calculating tiered pricing, tax treatment, and multi part payment splits in code
- Checking data quality row by row and producing reconciliation reports
- Writing tests that compare pipeline output against known good results over time
