Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Go)

Plan A Technologies is seeking a pragmatic, high-level Senior Backend Engineer to join our core engineering team. You will be instrumental in evolving our platform from legacy infrastructure to a modern, cloud-native ecosystem.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience with Golang and/or Java to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Modernize infrastructure: lead migration of manually provisioned AWS resources to Terraform (IaC) and bring out-of-band persistence constructs into managed codebases.
• System architecture: design and maintain high-throughput, event-driven systems using Kafka, gRPC, and Thrift API design.
• Standardize knowledge: solve documentation fragmentation by establishing a unified, docs-as-code standard across repositories and Confluence.
