Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support the delivery of major HV transmission projects across the North West, working on behalf of a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering works for National Grid.
This is a critical, site-based position where you will take full responsibility for the safe control, operation, and isolation of high-voltage systems on live infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out HV switching operations in line with approved procedures
* Issue safety documents, permits, and oversee isolations
* Ensure safe energisation and de-energisation of plant and equipment
* Act as the Authorising Engineer on site for all electrical safety matters
* Work closely with commissioning teams during testing and handover phases
* Ensure full compliance with National Grid safety rules and project requirements
