Role Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Malaysian statutory requirements. The role supports financial close, reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes, while ensuring strong internal controls and process integrity across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Financial Close & Reporting
- Manage general ledger accounting and reconciliation
- Month end closing entries like provisions, prepayments, allocation and cross‑charge accounting
- Ensure timely closing of books for the month, quarter and year, by finalizing the trial balance after thorough verification
- Prepare, review, and validate balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all reconciling items are properly supported and commented for any unreconciled variances
