TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of supportive schools across Exeter, and we are currently looking for an experienced SENDCo to join one of our partner schools. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about inclusion and ensuring every pupil has access to the support they need to thrive.
The successful SENDCo will play a key role in leading the school's SEND provision, working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure high-quality support is in place for pupils with additional needs.
The successful SENDCo will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
The National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it).
Previous experience as a SENDCo or within a SEND leadership role.
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCPs, and statutory processes.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
