Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Teddington, Greater London

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am–4:00 pm

Salary: Paid to scale

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SEM-EM (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive curriculum for students with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Working closely with class teachers and senior staff, you will help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, reinforcing coping strategies and classroom routines.
• Implement personalised behaviour-management plans and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist in preparing and adapting learning resources to meet individual needs.
