Job Description

UPMC Mercy is hiring Full Time Security Officers to support our hospital!

This position offers a $1, Sign on bonus with a 2 year work commitment, overtime opportunities, shift differentials for evenings/overnights, a competitive benefits package, and PTO. All training/equipment are provided.

Available shifts are from 6:30am-2:30pm, 2:30pm-10:30pm or 10:30pm-6:30am. 

**All Security Officers hired without a valid Act must complete the certification within their first 6 months of hire and have process completed within 9 months of hire. Candidates must meet audio and visual standards outlined in Act at time of hire.

All Act applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements including:

  • Pass a physical examination by a medical doctorUncorrected vision of at least 20/70 in one eye and 20/20 in the otherCorrected vision of at least 20/20 in one eye and 20/40 in the otherPass hearing examination (permitted to use hearing aid)
