Seasonal Operator, Highway Maintenance

Job Overview

We are looking for licensed drivers (DZ or AZ) to operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment for winter and seasonal maintenance on Ontario highways. This is a CLAC union position.

Work Schedules

• Shift work on‑call and night shift required.
• Schedules: 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off, or 6 consecutive days followed by 1 day off.
• Daily shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours (shop specific).
• Local applicants will be given preference due to location of work.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year‑round, including assisting with laborer duties such as pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
