Scientific Journal Manager

Job Purpose:

To oversee and develop the university’s scientific journals, ensuring compliance with international academic publishing standards, enhancing journal ranking and indexing, and managing editorial and administrative operations efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic plan to enhance the quality, visibility, and indexing of the university’s scientific journals.
• Supervise Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Board members to ensure compliance with academic policies and publishing ethics.
• Oversee manuscript submission, peer-review, and publication processes according to recognized international standards.
• Ensure adherence to publishing and indexing requirements (e.g., Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ, Crossref, COPE, etc., where applicable).
• Manage relationships with reviewers, researchers, and authors locally and internationally.
