Job Description
The Scheduling Coordinator will coordinate and schedule surgeries, post-op appointments, surgical clearances, pre-admission testing, procedures, diagnostic testing, and referrals. In addition this person will obtain insurance authorizations and provide patient education.
Henry Ford Health is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Coordinator to support our Cancer prevention and screening program. In this role you will serve as the Cancer Screening Scheduler to primarily support the Central market Lung Cancer Screening Program with other system standardization duties as well. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating closely with physicians, radiology, and patients to coordinate cancer screenings for eligible patients. In addition, you will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and compiling data related to screenings for presentation at various governance committees.
