Job Purpose

To provide a wide range of nursing care to cancer patients and their families, within the scope of educational preparation, in a collaborative environment. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the RN plans, prioritizes and implements patient care; documents patient care, takes lead in complex nursing situations, IV and chemotherapy administration, administers medication, mentors junior staff and LPNAs, exercises judgement, accepts responsibility appropriate to job description and is accountable for own actions.
