About the role
The Safety Trainer will be responsible to facilitate and deliver training for the onsite teams and serve as an SME for other departments, as well as support training activities. This includes, but is not limited to, creating and updating training manuals for each training program, developing, maintaining and training on SOPs, JSAs, one‑point lessons, and training tracking matrices. The Safety Trainer will work with Supervisors to observe employee training, document training performance for each trainee, and serve as the onsite trainer for all personnel at the Coaldale site who require training in 1st Aid, PIVs (Forklifts and Skid Steer), Scissor/Boom Lifts, and Personal Fall Protection. The role also involves maintaining training records and documentation related to these courses and associated certifications.
