Job Description
Amentum is seeking a **Safety Specialis** **t - A** for a position on **Kauai, HI** . This position will prepare, coordinate, implement, and monitor environmental, safety and health (ESH) policies, plans, and procedures to assure the maximum safety of personnel, equipment, and property. The Safety Specialist will be required to certify, ship Hazmat and sign off on Hazardous Waste Manifests as needed.

+ Provides OSHA, HAZMAT, HAZWASTE, and other related EHS training to employees.
+ Assist in providing technical safety guidance to employees and supervisors
+ Collect ship and coordinate lead, soil, water, oil, fuel, and asbestos samples for analysis. Monitor and document results. Certify, sign and ship Hazmat and Hazardous Waste (HW) as needed.
+ Handles HW operations, proper documents, and shipment of hazardous waste from cradle to grave.
