Key Responsibilities Safety Management: Enforce adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHSA) Act and conduct routine hazard identification and risk assessments. Environmental & Quality Control: Implement ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001 for environment, ISO 9001 for quality) to reduce workplace environmental impacts. Incident Investigations: Investigate workplace accidents and near-misses, produce root-cause reports, and recommend preventative safeguards. Training & Reporting: Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills, while maintaining detailed compliance records. Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the organization, government inspectors (e.g., Department of Employment and Labour), and external auditors.
