Safety Engineer

Summary As a Safety Engineer, you will support the Office of Safety and Mission Assurance and provide institutional safety program expertise across the Agency. You will also be responsible for the development of policy and program elements ensuring Agency compliance with Federal Safety Program requirements and closely related industry standards. Responsibilities Provide industrial/infrastructure safety program guidance and oversight to Centers, Enterprise Organizations and Programs across the Agency, including commercial partners and Federal tenants. Develop and benchmark policy for Agency and partner operations related to industrial/infrastructure safety. Make observations and recommendations to senior managers to drive changes in safety and health policy, processes, risk mitigation strategies and collaborative work initiatives.
