Safety Engineer (Contract, On site)
New Iron is seeking a Safety Engineer to support operations in a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
This role focuses on ensuring adherence to safety standards, including 6S methodologies, in a dynamic production environment. 80% of your time will be spent on the fabrication floor.
This is an on-site, contract position, in Phoenix, AZ. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily audits of assigned tool groups to maintain 6S compliance and ensure a hazard free working environment
- Verify that barricading and signage are properly positioned and clearly readable
- Review completion of required documentation
- Confirm lockout/tagout (LOTO) hardware and safety interlock bypass indicators are properly applied and consistent with pre-task safety documentation
