Job Description
The RN Ventilator School Nurse is responsible and accountable for delivering high-quality nursing care and contracted health services to students in a school setting. This role involves applying the nursing process to support students/clients who require ventilator assistance, ensuring care is provided in accordance with physician orders and in alignment with Amergis Healthcare’s philosophy, standards, and policies.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
+ One year of school nursing experience, preferred
+ Pediatric experience, preferred
+ At least one year of recent tracheostomy experience required, unless approved by Amergis Clinical Designee and at least one year of recent mechanical ventilation care management experience required, unless approved by Amergis Clinical Designee
+ Completes mechanical ventilation competencies, successfully
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
