Labor and Delivery Nurse
Unit Notes: Oregon License Required - Can apply for the OR 90 Day Emergency License. Profile Review - If recommended by our clinical team, the Unit Manager will call candidate for a phone interview. Unit L&D/PP/MB: Number of L&D Beds - 5; Number of OR Suites - 1 within the unit, staffed by the main OR we don't scrub/circulate; Number of triage beds - 1; Number of Postpartum beds - 3 in addition to the 5 LDRPs. Number of births per day, per year - Approx 340 annual deliveries (30-35/month on average). Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? - Yes. Required Certification - BLS, NRP. Common diagnoses/Types of patients - We are not a high risk department. Experience or 'Must have' skills - L&D, PP, routine nursery, Intermediate Nursey; Nurses must be able to be independent in all areas of care. There are always a minimum of 2 nurses present, sometimes 3. Each RN is the back up for the other. Strong skills are essential. Each RN is depended on equally. Are ...
