This is a 13-week contract position requiring 12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled. Registered Nurses must be available to work four weekend night shifts during their four-week schedule.
Job Description
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) offers care for patients requiring closer monitoring and interventions. Registered Nurses in this unit will manage a patient load typically ranging from 1:4 to 1:5, occasionally up to 1:6. The RN's responsibilities include patient monitoring, administering medications, interpreting telemetry strips, and titrating IV drips as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and monitoring for patients with conditions such as chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, and those undergoing post-procedural care.
- Manage IV medications, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Nitro.
