Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. The RN appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. This role involves monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. The RN assists patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation, and collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. The RN evaluates the learning needs of patients and families, providing education that is appropriate to their age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
