Registered Nurse
This position functions within the urgent care setting providing appropriate and timely nursing care for patients of all ages. The role promotes quality, evidence-based, and cost-effective health care outcomes. As a member of a nursing team, the RN will perform full assessments and prioritize patient needs. Skills include coordinating care as ordered by providers and using critical thinking to expedite care and patient services. The RN may work in other nursing roles to ensure departmental functions are covered. Duties must be performed in a responsible, professional, and compassionate manner to provide excellent patient care. Essential functions include initial triage and assessment of patients presenting for urgent care services. The RN may also provide telephone services with assessments and advice for self-care or appropriate care options.
