Overview
The Registered Respiratory Therapist I (RRT) provides leadership and expertise in Respiratory Therapy and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to diagnose and manage patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders. The RRT actively participates in patient, student, staff, and physician education; contributes to departmental process improvement; maintains professional practice; advocates for patients using patient- and family-centered care principles; and provides technical support for all Respiratory Therapy equipment. All RRT positions at Rockyview General Hospital are expected to be able to work throughout the areas that Respiratory Services clinically support if required. Primary assignment areas include NICU, ICU, outreach, and float.
