Job Description

Head Medical is seeking post Foundation Doctors with a minimum of 12 months’ Emergency Medicine experience for exciting opportunities in beautiful Whangārei, the gateway to Northland’s stunning beaches, forests, and marine reserves.
Relaxed lifestyle in a subtropical climate, just two hours north of Auckland
 Busy ED seeing 40,000 patients annually – around 25% paediatric
Active clinical training programme with teaching, simulation, and case review
Cose to the Bay of Islands – world-class diving, sailing, and beaches
Salary: NZD $105,672–$140,082 ( RDA agreement) - February 2026 commencement
The Hospital
Whangārei Hospital is a 246-bed regional facility providing comprehensive secondary care to a population of around 194,000. You will join a dynamic and supportive Emergency Medicine team, working closely with consultants and senior registrars to further develop your clinical skills and decision-making confidence.
