Research Officer – First Nations Health Research

• Part-Time .40FTE (2 days per week), Fixed Term up to 12 months

• Classification: Level A - Base salary from $84,205 + 17% superannuation

About the position

A Level A Academic Research Officer will be a person who identifies as Indigenous and contributes to the delivery of a collaborative research translation project, funded by the Medical Research Future Fund, that seeks to co-design, implement and evaluate culturally tailored caseload midwifery care for women having a First Nations baby in health services across Victoria. Caseload midwifery is a model of care where women receive pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatal care from a primary midwife (with one or two back up midwives).
