Job Description
The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU is a research-intensive school encompassing mathematics, physics, and chemistry, with strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research and real-world impact.
SPMS is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to advance robust optimization methods for urban drone logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
The Research Assistant will develop distributionally robust optimization (DRO) models that account for data uncertainty and quality degradation in demand forecasting and fleet scheduling.
The Research Assistant will also design scalable solution algorithms and validate findings through computational studies, with the goal of publishing in leading operations research and management science journals.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor in Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
