In the Philippines, the CECI’s Volunteer Cooperation Program advances women’s economic empowerment in key sectors such as the green economy, rural agriculture, and the blue economy. This is achieved by working alongside partners to strengthen women and youth-led SMEs, cooperatives and social enterprises in sustainable agricultural value-chains. Through collaboration with Canadian volunteers and partners, the program enhances access to accelerators, innovation, finance, markets as well as gender inclusive and climate-resilient practices. Working with leading ecosystem partners, the program pursues to enable women and young agri-entrepreneurs into competitive, trade-oriented value chains to scale and contribute to more resilient businesses, inclusive, and sustainable economies, benefitting the wider communities.
