Job Description
A medium sized Consulting company with international offices is looking to hire a Rehabilitation Specialist.
Qualifications
- BSc degree in Ecology or Natural Sciences (or similar)
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- General understanding of soil science and how soils relate to rehabilitation
- Basic knowledge of plants and suitable plants for rehabilitation, especially grasses that can be utilised for rehabilitation
- Basic background related to wetland assessments and practical knowledge on principles of wetland rehabilitation
- Legal knowledge associated with rehabilitation, specifically related to the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act and the National Environmental Management Act
- Strong background related to the mining industry
