ICU Medical is a bed critical care unit. The adult population may include respiratory failure, acute or suspected MI, CHF, arrhythmias, pulmonary embolism, COPD, GI bleeding, sepsis. hypotension, overdose and hypertensive crisis, stroke, transient ischemic attacks and seizures. Special services and procedures particular to this area include: intubation/ mechanical ventilation, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz pulmonary artery lines (hemodynamic monitoring), tracheostomies (new), thrombolytic administration, antiarrhythmic therapy (, vasopressor therapy (, bedside monitoring, apnea monitoring, temporary pacers (external and transvenous), TEE, cardioversion, negative pressure isolation (AFB) and dialysis.
