Job Description
The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) caters to a specialized population that includes trauma patients, cardiovascular surgery patients such as those recovering from TAVRs and CABGs directly from the operating room, neurosurgery patients, and other complex surgical cases.
Responsibilities
Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and arterial lines.Administer blood products and manage acute ventilator needs.Care for COVID+ patients with high oxygen demands, patients with DKA, severe sepsis, and unstable GI bleeds.Handle trauma cases, open heart recovery, and post-code blue situations.Manage patients with multi-system organ failure and those needing CRRT.Float within scope to meet facility needs.Work every other weekend as required.Essential Skills
