Overview
The Critical Care Nurse is a leader and pivotal member of the inter-professional team in the ICU. As an ICU Registered Nurse (RN), you will act as a primary caregiver to patients and their families in a critical care setting, and provide patient and family centered care to achieve optimal outcomes. You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and social workers to support a team-based approach to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of direct care for patients and families.
- Maintenance of electronic and written documentation of care.
- Professional practice including mentoring of staff and ongoing professional development.
- Assumption of Charge Nurse duties when needed.
- Promotion of a positive, supportive, respectful, safe practice environment.
