Your Opportunity:
Unit 64 is a 33-bed unit at Rockyview General Hospital with 28 Postpartum beds and 5 Surgical beds. The focus of care on the unit is Maternal-Child (Postpartum women and their newborns). Because of the fluctuations in our maternal-child patient population, Unit 64 also provides pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients from general surgery, urology, gynecology, and orthopedics. The nurse-to-patient ratio expectation is 1 nurse to 4 mother-baby dyads or 1 nurse to 5 surgical patients. As a Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate competence in delivering safe, effective, and efficient care in accordance with all elements of the current Calgary Zone job description for Registered Nurses.
