Red Seal Mobile Crane Operator - Permanent & Temporary Opportunities

About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, the Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating the crane to provide operational support in an open pit coal mine by relocating and repositioning equipment and materials. This is a permanent position.

Successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to excel within a fast paced, flexible work environment that interacts with a variety of trades.

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Setup crane for lifting including mobilizing and stabilizing, calculating crane capacities, determining load weights and drafting lift plans
• Operate conventional and hydraulic mobile cranes, up to 300 ton, to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
