The Opportunity

The Recreation Worker, reporting to the Executive Director or Recreation Manager, is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating recreation therapy services for residents. This role supports residents’ overall well‑being by promoting meaningful leisure experiences, social engagement, and quality of life. The Recreation Worker performs duties in accordance with their education, demonstrated skills, AgeCare policies and procedures, and the Collaborative Care Model.

What You Will Do

• Assess each resident’s needs, interests, and abilities to support meaningful participation in leisure and recreation opportunities within the facility and the community.
• Develop recreation therapy goals and treatment plans, and communicate these with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
