The Opportunity
The Recreation Therapy Aide (RTA) supports the delivery of both planned and spontaneous recreational opportunities that promote residents’ engagement, independence, and overall well-being. This role helps residents maintain and develop skills, build meaningful relationships, and foster social connections within a supportive care environment.
What You Will Do
- Maintain accurate and timely departmental records and complete all required documentation, including Resident Assessments/Re-Assessments, Care Planning, MDS Coding/RAPs, Progress Notes, ActivityRo entries, and monthly calendars.
- Participate in the ongoing evaluation of the recreation program and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure recreation supplies, equipment, and resources are maintained in good working condition in accordance with infection prevention and control standards and report any deficiencies to the Program Manager.
