Recreation Assistant

Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Youth Center on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and assists in the execution of special events, holiday parties, and recreational programming for youth and community members. Responsible for the opening and closing of the Youth Center and other recreational facilities. Serves as the primary point of contact for customer service-related incidents, addressing patron concerns, resolving conflicts, and escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary. Checks equipment and gear in and out; ensures all issued gear is returned, accounted for, and properly stored at the end of each shift. Operates and oversees laser tag and other special event equipment and activities. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of recreational areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
