Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Recovery Superintendent to lead a critical recovery operation within a kraft pulp mill. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a proven pulp and paper professional with deep recovery process expertise and experience leading unionized operations.
In this role, you'll oversee the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the recovery area, including the recovery boiler, evaporation and stripping systems, tall oil, and turpentine recovery . You'll lead a team of approximately 15 employees while driving performance in safety, environmental compliance, production, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Working closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, and union leadership, you'll develop shutdown and maintenance strategies, manage operational and capital budgets, implement training and development programs, and ensure the department consistently meets production and cost objectives.
