Job Summary:
The Rail Scheduler is primarily responsible for coordinating the movement of rail cars in and out of MPC refineries/terminals for the purpose of loading/unloading products or feedstocks. This position is the interface between the refineries/terminals to third party railroads and MPC stakeholders in Refining, Marketing and Rail Operations to ensure rail cars are scheduled as needed by the refineries/terminals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitors and manages rail movements and volumes through use of proprietary railroad and third-party transportation systems to create daily train orders (inside-the gate) or manage inventory levels at serving y...
