We're looking for a fully qualified train driver with at least 2 years of productive train driving experience who holds a European Train Driving Licence. This role is part of a talent pool for future positions.
Responsibilities
- The driver must ensure all passengers reach their destination safely and on time.
- Maintain high levels of route and train knowledge to keep safety paramount.
- Communicate effectively with conductors, dispatch, control and customers.
- Work a 35‑hour week on a roster that may include early starts, late finishes and occasional overnight stays in London.
- Prepare, drive and dispose of traction units safely as per instructions.
- Identify, locate and, where necessary, rectify train and traction unit faults.
