About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that develop students’ skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis. You will support learners in exploring a wide range of texts, from classical literature to modern writing, while strengthening their academic writing and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons

Teach a range of texts including prose, poetry, and drama

Develop students’ reading comprehension, writing accuracy, and analytical skills

Support GCSE and A-Level English Language and Literature (where applicable)

Assess, track, and report on student progress

Encourage a love of reading and creative writing

Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities such as book clubs or literacy initiatives
