Job Description
We're hiring a Backend Engineer to own and build the backend of a subscription-based SaaS platform. The product includes gated content, video courses, AI-powered features, research tools, and real-time systems, built on Python/FastAPI with PostgreSQL on AWS. This is a hands-on, building role. You'll work across content APIs, payment integrations, user management, backend infrastructure, and AI system integrations. You'll communicate directly with project managers and occasionally with technical stakeholders. We need someone who can read an existing codebase, take ownership, improve systems proactively, and drive decisions independently. Not someone who waits to be told what to do next.
