Job Overview

Supervises a team of buyers and the process for the acquisition of products for one or more product groups.

Responsibilities Understand root cause of quality issues and facilitate communication with Regional Management, suppliers, and BU's for resolution. Understand Supplier Approval Process and relationships with related functions to ensure compliance. Understand strategies, risk, and opportunities within assigned commodities as developed by the Regional Commodity Managers. Facilitate development of Procurement strategy and identify risk and opportunities within scope; manage implementation of strategies within scope. Support Multiple BU's and Natural Owners. Perform cost/price analysis with total cost of ownership as objective. Identify, negotiate and implement cost avoidance/reduction opportunities through total cost analysis.
