Job Description
- Scouts for efficient suppliers with quality products and services, stocks availability and terms that adhere to the specified requirements.
- Know how to use social media networks and various platforms to look for and connect with potential suppliers.
- Negotiates for best purchasing packages in terms of quality, price, terms of payment and timely delivery.
- Responds to project site and supplier inquiries about the order status, changes or cancellation of orders.
- Coordinates with the Warehouseman and Project Manager and facilitates ordering of materials when necessary.
- Maintains knowledge of all organizational and office rules affecting purchases and provides information on these rules to staff members.
- Ensures that all purchased materials are all delivered on a timely manner and adhere to the specifications indicated in the purchase order.
- Prepares and submits weekly status report (DORPS) of all materials requested.
