Job Description
- Obtain fair and open competition on purchases
- Keep informed of current developments in purchasing, prices, market conditions, and new products
- Utilize and maintain forms necessary to conform to requirements
- Inspect supplies, services, and equipment purchased to ensure conformance with specifications
- Negotiate with suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery
- Compare and negotiate prices of needed products and finalize orders
- Process purchase orders from requisitions
- Maintain supplier quotation records
- Work independently, organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Record and update accounts payables, monitoring due dates
- Prepare accounts payable at designated due dates
