Purchase engineer (casting / forging)

Job Purpose:
To manage procurement and supply chain activities for gear, casting, and forging components,
ensuring timely availability, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
 Handle sourcing and procurement of gears, casting, and forging parts.
 Develop and manage vendor base, including evaluation and negotiation.
 Ensure timely material availability as per production plans.
 Monitor cost, quality, and delivery performance of suppliers.
 Coordinate with production, quality, and stores for smooth operations.
 Follow up on orders, track deliveries, and resolve supply issues.
 Ensure compliance with company policies and documentation.
Qualification & Experience:
 B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
 3–8 years of experience in Purchase / SCM.
 Strong exposure to gear, casting, and forging components.
