Job Description

Palex Portugal, a leading company in the management and distribution of innovative hospital and research solutions, is recruiting a Purchase Assistant.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Analyse purchasing needs across departments, ensuring accurate specification of products, quantities, and delivery timelines.
  • Request quotations and negotiate prices, lead times, and commercial conditions with suppliers, in line with company policies.
  • Manage and coordinate international purchase orders, including follow-up with suppliers from order placement to delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate transport for imports (road, air, and sea), ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance with deadlines.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and transport providers, monitoring shipments and resolving any transit issues or delays.
  • Ensure proper documentation for import processes
