Job Description
Purpose of the Role The Pump Maintenance Fitter is responsible for the maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and testing of various types of industrial pumps. The incumbent will ensure that all pump equipment operates at optimal performance levels through systematic stripping, fault-finding, reassembly, and testing procedures, in support of ongoing project operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Pump Maintenance & Repair Strip, inspect, and assess pumps for wear, damage, and defects Identify faulty components and determine repair or replacement requirements Perform mechanical repairs, including replacement of bearings, seals, impellers, shafts, couplings, and casings Reassemble pumps to manufacturer specifications and tolerances Carry out full refurbishment of pumps, including machining-related tasks where required 2.
