**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Pulmonary Function Technician conducts tests and preforms pulmonary function studies to assist in evaluating and treating lung disorders. These professionals perform standardized tests; educate patients on pulmonary disorders; provide other respiratory-related care and treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician; operate, check and assemble lung function equipment used for diagnostic purposes; and maintain patient records.
