Public Information Officer - Sheriff's Office

Position Overview The Public Information Officer will serve as a liaison between the organization and the public to maintain a positive image of the organization.

Compensation $80,000.00 Job Duties and Responsibilities Include the following, but are not limited to:

•   Acts as the organization’s spokesperson and responds to members of the media promptly ; composes, reviews, and/or distributes press releases.


• Promotes the organization’s public image through interactions with business, industry, and  l ocal leaders.
• Collaborates with executive leadership to develop a public information strategy and   guidelines for the organization.
• Schedules public events such as speaking engagements and facilities tours.
• Oversees external, public-facing communication and branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and industry magazines.
